Something interesting I found on r/marvelstudios. Simu Liu, who plays Shang-Chi in the new Marvel Studios movie Shang-Chi and The Legend of the 10 Rings movie, says he checks r/nba daily.

Still pretty much check r/nba on a daily basis to keep up with all things basketball.

Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic confirms on Dan Barrerio that Ben Simmons is open to being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves to play with his friends Karl-Anthony Towns and D'Angelo Russell. Along with fellow Klutch agent Anthony Edwards.

Confirmation from Krawczynski via Twitter DM.. Posted by u/TylerIreland on r/timberwolves.

Earlier Report from Krawczynski: https://theathletic.com/2797725/2021/08/31/the-timberwolves-lack-of-activity-at-power-forward-all-seemingly-points-one-way-ben-simmons/

In conversations with teams in Las Vegas, I came away with the impression that the Timberwolves were the team that was most active in talks to try to make a Simmons deal happen. Shams Charania reported earlier this week that Toronto has also inquired, but the market seems to be relatively quiet for Simmons at the moment. He’s a fantastic player on defense and in transition, one the Wolves believe would fit beautifully with some of their more offensive-minded core. But his struggles in the playoffs, and the widely held belief that the Sixers must move him before the season opens and things get really contentious, has cooled the activity around him.

As of right now, the Timberwolves do not have a trade package that offers Morey the win-now assets a team in championship mode wants. They are not going to put Karl-Anthony Towns into any type of multi-team deal to try to get the wheels moving and Anthony Edwards remains untouchable as well. Even if the Wolves did include D’Angelo Russell in an offer — and they have talked all summer about building a team with Towns, Edwards and Russell around Simmons — it would not appear to be the magic bullet move that Morey needs to part ways with one of the best defensive players in the league … yet.

[Stein] Ben Simmons' preference is to be traded before the season starts, league sources say.

The Sixers have been aware for some time that Ben Simmons' preference is to be traded before the season starts, league sources say. Philadelphia, through a team spokesman, declined comment today. As this newsletter reminds, Daryl Morey has cut it close on big trades before.

Ben Simmons doesn't have even a bit of leverage as to when/where he's traded to, but after the whole Harden saga somehow getting himself traded to Brooklyn, it wouldn't surprise me if Ben Simmons somehow ended up on the Lakers, Clippers, or Warriors.

A few local Philadelphia based organizations had planned on partnering with Maxey on some community events. They were told to cancel those plans. Paul would not like Maxey to grow roots in Philly if he could be gone.

What a complete overreach of power by Rich Paul. I understand player empowerment, but unless Maxey requested the trade himself then what the hell is Paul doing? Preemptively trading his client? If this ends up being true and you weren't on the "ban Rich Paul" train before, you should be now.

This dude is so gone. I don't remember the last time a player on a team so openly talked about what they expect to get back in a trade package for a player still technically on the team. And to not even end with a "I hope we get to keep him." Yikes.

During his career, James Harden has drawn a whopping 521 three-point shooting fouls. Outside of the Rockets, no team has accumulated more than 439 of those calls, since Harden joined the league.

[Pompey] Sources: Ben Simmons tells team brass he no longer wants to be a Sixer and does not intend to report to training camp.

Source: https://www.inquirer.com/sixers/76ers-ben-simmons-trade-discussion-nba-training-camp-20210831.html

Ben Simmons let it be known that he wants out.

In a meeting with the 76ers last week in Los Angeles, Simmons told team co-managing partner Josh Harris, president of basketball operations Daryl Morey, general manager Elton Brand and coach Doc Rivers that he no longer wants to remain a Sixer, according to multiple sources.

Sources said the three-time All-Star also does not intend to report to training camp.

A team spokesman declined to comment.

Simmons is fully aware the Sixers can fine him for holding out and failing to show up to training camp. But a source said money will not play a role in the decision-making for Simmons, who has four years and $147 million remaining on his deal.

Andrew Wiggins is a good NBA player

Andrew Wiggins is a good NBA player who regularly contributes at an above average level for an NBA starter. Advanced stats really hate him and frankly I think its a bit unfair to judge him solely on that merit. He is capable of being the best player on a championship team no, but he is firmly in the Tobias Harris tier of rock solid contributor.

Dennis Rodman randomly scored double figures in 27 straight games once

Rodman is an all-time great rebounder and defender, but was never known for his scoring, averaging seven points for his career.

However, in his sophomore season, in February of 1988, Rodman randomly went on an absolute tear after getting a spot in the starting lineup thanks to an injury to Adrian Dantley. The Pistons, who at that point had never made a finals appearance in Detroit, would win 21 of those 27 games. After that season, Rodman would never average double figures again

The Los Angeles Lakers have six out of twelve of the oldest players in the NBA https://twitter.com/pickuphoop/status/1432391483068461061?s=21 Oldest players in the NBA

  2. Iguodala - Warriors
  3. Carmelo - Lakers
  4. LeBron - Lakers
  5. Gasol - Lakers
  6. Millsap - Free Agent
  7. Tucker - Heat
  8. Paul - Suns
  9. Gibson - Knicks
  10. Ariza - Lakers
  11. Howard - Lakers
  12. Rondo - Lakers

With Rondo signing, Lakers now have 7 career All-Stars on their team, the most in NBA history since 1957.

These Lakers are also the first team to have 7 multiple time All-Stars on the same team with Lebron, Gasol, Rondo, Westbrook, Davis, Melo, and Howard all making it 3+ times.

[Charania] Along with Brooklyn and Golden State, the Bulls are pursuing free-agent forward Paul Millsap, sources said.

Along with Brooklyn and Golden State, the Bulls are pursuing free-agent forward Paul Millsap, sources said. Millsap, a battle-tested 15-year NBA veteran, finished a four-year stint in Denver in which the Nuggets had a 64.7 percent winning percentage and reached the Western Conference finals in 2020. At 35, Millsap’s steal and block rates per 36 minutes were in line with his career average, and last season, his 56.5 percent true shooting percentage was around his career average.

In Brooklyn, Millsap would compete for a starting power forward role alongside Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden.

[The Athletic] The Orlando Magic front office is not ready to give up on Mo Bamba just yet. Despite the signing of veteran Robin Lopez, head coach Jamahl Mosley has been instructed to develop young players not win games. The signing of Lopez had to do with helping Bamba improve during practices.

Source: https://theathletic.com/2791031/2021/08/26/nba-scouts-assess-mo-bamba/?source=user_shared_article

That said, there is a sense that the Magic front office is not ready to give up on Bamba just yet. Although the team signed 33-year-old veteran center Robin Lopez this offseason to a one-year deal, Bamba still figures to receive the bulk of the minutes as the backup center to Carter. Indeed, one of the reasons the Magic signed Lopez was to help Bamba improve through one-on-one competition during team practices.

And there’s one final, perhaps crucial, factor to consider: The Magic have a new head coach, Jamahl Mosley. If Bamba needed a fresh start, or at least a second chance to make a first impression, he has it now that Mosley and his almost entirely new coaching staff are on the ground at Amway Center. Mosley’s primary directive from the front office in the year ahead is to develop young players, not to win games. Bamba almost certainly will receive every opportunity to gain momentum.

[Charania] Ben Simmons' stint in Philadelphia all but over; Sixers looking at Damian Lillard

The 76ers opened up trade conversations around Simmons, the three-time All-Star, in July, but so far their conversations have not reached the cusp of a deal. Philadelphia has conducted expansive discussions with several teams, including Minnesota and Toronto, but neither a Timberwolves package nor the Raptors’ proposals have appealed to the 76ers as of yet. Philadelphia has set a high price threshold for teams to meet in talks for Simmons thus far.

So far, Simmons’ situation remains the same. While the 76ers have told teams they are comfortable bringing Simmons back for the 2021-22 season, rival executives believe it’s only a matter of when — not if — the All-Defensive team stalwart is moved.

For now, all signs continue to point to Simmons’ career in Philadelphia coming to an end.

Simmons was almost moved to the Rockets along with Matisse Thybulle and two first-round picks in the James Harden negotiations, but Houston traded Harden to the Brooklyn Nets. With previous trade talks coming so close to moving Simmons out of Philadelphia — coupled with the comments of Joel Embiid and Doc Rivers to end the 76ers season — the writing appears to be on the wall.

The Timberwolves have been motivated to find a deal for Simmons but would likely require a third team given their asset pool of Malik Beasley, Jaden McDaniels and D’Angelo Russell might not entice the 76ers.

Philadelphia has its eyes set on Portland All-NBA guard Damian Lillard, sources say, but the Trail Blazers have fully focused on continuing to build around Lillard. As of now, Lillard is continuing to evaluate the Trail Blazers’ present and future and is slated to begin training camp with the organization. The 76ers are stuck between deciding whether to make a move now with Simmons — or waiting until a star like Lillard shakes free.

Dirk's 2006 Run

Because of how great Dirk's run in 2011 was, 2006 gets pushed to the side because obviously they didn't win, but Dirk played out his mind in 06.

In the Western Conference, Dirk averaged 28.8 PPG on 61.9% TS.

He went through the 49 win Grizzlies, the 63 win Spurs, and the 54 win Suns. He was a man on a mission this run. The Spurs series in particular was an absolute classic and probably the best PF duel of all time imo.

In game 7,

Dirk had 37 and 15 on 55% FG.

Duncan had 41 and 15 on 50% FG.

[Faigen] The Grizzlies have subsidized 12.9% of the Lakers’ rosters over the last three seasons, paying approximately $34.5 million to 4 players to go join the Lakers for an estimated $10.4 million in total salary. They have become Los Angeles’ real feeder team.

Source

Avery Bradley. Dwight Howard. Dion Waiters. And soon, Rajon Rondo. All of them were salary dumped to the NBA waystation in Memphis, and not long after, all of them were Lakers after being waived or securing a buyout with the Grizzlies.

The stats, when put into context, are fairly staggering. Of the 31 players on guaranteed deals to play for the Lakers over the 2019-20 and 20-21 seasons, as well as the upcoming 21-22 season, four were paid to go away by the Grizzlies, a fairly significant 12.9% of the Lakers’ rosters over that time period. Between Bradley, Howard, Waiters and Rondo, the Grizzlies paid approximately $34.5 million to four players to go join the Lakers for an estimated $10.4 million in total salary.

Players Money from Grizzlies Money from Lakers
Avery Bradley $2 million in guaranteed money (Waived) $4.7 million
Dwight Howard $3 million (Bought out) $2.6 million
Dion Waiters $12.1 million in 2019-20, 12.5 million in 2020-21 $0.5 million
Rajon Rondo $4.8 million (if he gave back $2.6 million of the $7.5 million he was owed, Bought out) $2.6 million

Two weeks after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Jordan came out of retirement to play for the Wizards, donating his veteran's minimum salary to relief efforts for the victims

https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/bulls/ct-michael-jordan-otd-september-25-2011-story.html

"I am returning as a player to the game I love," Jordan said in a news release issued through SFX, his management agency.

Jordan, 38, will sign a two-year contract and donate his salary for the upcoming season to relief agencies working with the victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on Washington and New York, said Estee Portnoy, a spokeswoman for SFX.

Now Jordan returns after a three-year break. He had to surrender his ownership stake and management role to return to the court, where he'll be paid the veterans' minimum of about $1 million because the Wizards are over the league salary cap. In Jordan's last season with the Bulls he earned $33.1 million.

Part of it was an education relief fund started by the Wizards organization themselves

Abe Pollin, Chairman of Washington Sports and Entertainment and the Washington Wizards, have developed the Washington Sports and Entertainment Education Fund to benefit the children who lost a parent or guardian in the Pentagon tragedy on September 11th.

Irene and Abe Pollin made the first donation of $100,000 to the fund. Wizards star Michael Jordan has matched the Pollins' contribution in as part of his pledge to donate his 2001-02 salary to the relief efforts.

"Obviously our country has changed forever, but nothing has changed more than the lives of the families of the victims of this tragedy," said Jordan. "This fund is one of several wonderful efforts that will benefit the victims of the September 11th attacks."

Jordan donated the remainder of his salary to other organizations involved in the September 11th relief effort.

Wizards Head Coach Doug Collins donated $500 for every Wizards win during the 2001-02 season, totaling $18,500. Wizards forward Christian Laettner donated $25,000 to the fund, while guard Chris Whitney donated $100 for every three-point field goal he made during the season for a total of $6,600.

I know Jordan gets a bad rap for being a cheapskate but he has done plenty of charity over his career that didn't come with a full media press coverage

As NBA fans , we should apologize to Nerlens Noel for clowning him.

I’m sorry Nerlens Noel. I thought you turned down the 4-year $70 million contract offer because you were overconfident with your skills.

Now, I’m cheering for you to win the lawsuit against Rich Paul.

Fuck Rich Paul

Who are 3 current players that have similar play styles but are on completely different levels?

If this was a Pokémon game, this would be like asking who the Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard in the league are. I want to give an actual example but that usually leads to people ignoring my question and calling me an idiot for my example instead so I’ll leave that alone lol

[Gregory] Chris Paul on playing in the NBA Finals: "Now that I've got a taste of what that experience is like, I'm sort of addicted."

Source

Paul was bothered by a wrist injury during the playoffs. He recently had wrist surgery, and says he’s now rehabbing every morning starting at 6 a.m.

“It’s my fourth hand surgery,” says Paul. “So one thing I know about is the mental aspect of rehab. I’m getting there.”

Right after the finals, Paul says that coming so close to that elusive first title, but narrowly missing it, would hurt for awhile. “It’s never going to feel good,” he says. Though he’s 36, Paul—who signed a four-year, $120 million contract earlier this month—won’t be walking away from basketball anytime soon. “Now that I’ve got a taste of what that experience is like,” Paul says of playing in the NBA Finals, “I’m sort of addicted.”

According to Romana Shelburne, Rajon Rondo is a strong candidate to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers if he is bought out by the Memphis Grizzlies. Similarly, if the Brooklyn Nets buy out DeAndre Jordan, the Lakers will look to sign the former all-star.

Rajon Rondo was spotted earlier this week at a Dodgers game in LA. Rumors have started swirling about the Nets buying out or waiving DeAndre Jordan.

Jared Dudley: “I thought I was coming back to the Lakers. This is crazy. Obviously LeBron and A.D. wanted me back. But we just couldn’t convince them.”

Context:

“I thought I was coming back to the Lakers,” said Dudley, 36, in a phone interview. “This is crazy.”

“Obviously LeBron and A.D. wanted me back,” said Dudley. “But we just couldn’t convince them.”

“No one owed me anything, Rob and Kurt were honest and upfront, nothing but respect and gratitude to them and Jeanie [Buss], I will be forever thankful for the opportunity they gave me,” Dudley said. “But I did want to come back. I did think I could help the team, especially having so many new players, but I understand they wanted to get younger.”

“I talked to Rob and Kurt, I thanked them, but I told them, you’re valuing youth more than a locker room presence guy,” Dudley said. “I said, ‘I respect you for doing that, but I think you’re wrong,’”

Explained Dudley, “When people say I’m a locker room presence, my job was way more than a locker room presence. You’re a guidance counselor, a relationship expert. … I’m the middleman that brings it all together.”

[The Athletic] DeAndre Jordan expected to be traded, bought out, or waived by the time the Brooklyn Nets head to San Diego for training camp on September 28th.

Source: https://theathletic.com/2787649/2021/08/25/james-harden-and-kyrie-irving-extensions-cam-thomas-playing-time-title-chances-and-more-mailbag/?source=user_shared_article

From what I’ve been hearing, I would be surprised if Jordan is a Net by the time the team heads to San Diego for training camp. He’s already been shopped throughout the draft and offseason and you can start to read the writing on the wall. Now, assuming he’s gone, I’m curious about the exit route. Is it a trade, when there has already been a lack of a market for him and the Nets lack draft capital and young talent to part with for a significant return? Buyout? Waived? Regardless, I do not expect him back.

An extra organization I hold in high regard is The Cajun Navy. This organization is important to me because they helped Houston during Harvey since Houston housed Katrina victims back then. 08/25/2021 is also the four year anniversary of Harvey making landfall. Food is more important since we need to feed people in order to save them from disasters, so this one is secondary to the food banks.

Jeremy Lamb deserves credit for coming back from an ACL tear, lateral meniscus tear, and fractured knee in less than 11 months and still being a valuable role player

On February 23rd, 2020, Lamb suffered a torn ACL, lateral meniscus tear, and a fractured knee in the same injury. Many questioned when he would be able to play again, and how much he could contribute if he could get healthy again. An injury like this can be a career ender (at least at the NBA level) for many players, but Lamb fought through it.

On January 20th, 2021, he returned to the court for the pacers and put up 10 points on 4/8 shooting. He was a +10 in a 12 point loss.

In his 36 games (8 starts) this season after returning from the injury, Lamb managed to average 10.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists on 43.5/40.6/94.7 shooting splits, which is quite impressive considering what he was coming back from.

Due to him just being a role player, this return didn't garner much attention so I wanted to shed light on it and give him credit for being in game shape after a catastrophic injury like that.

[Windhorst] "Noel took the action after Klutch recently filed a grievance with the National Basketball Players Association, claiming Noel hadn't paid $200,000 in commission on his previous one-year contract with the Knicks, multiple sources told ESPN."

New York Knicks center Nerlens Noel filed a lawsuit against former agent Rich Paul and his firm, Klutch Sports, on Monday, claiming he lost $58 million in potential salary while he was represented by Paul from 2017 to 2020.

Noel took the action after Klutch recently filed a grievance with the National Basketball Players Association, claiming Noel hadn't paid $200,000 in commission on his previous one-year contract with the Knicks, multiple sources told ESPN.

Noel claims breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract and negligence. The lawsuit doesn't cite a specific amount of damages but asks for actual and punitive relief.

Paul declined to comment.

The lawsuit, which was filed in Dallas County, Texas, centers around a decision made in July 2017 when Noel was a restricted free agent of the Dallas Mavericks. Noel averaged 8.5 points and 6.8 rebounds in 22 games with the Mavericks after he was traded there midway through the previous season from the Philadelphia 76ers.

[Heitner] Breaking: Nerlens Noel has sued NBA agent Rich Paul, claiming Paul is responsible for $58 million in lost earnings.

Source

Breaking on @SportsAgentBlog : Nerlens Noel has sued NBA agent Rich Paul, claiming Paul is responsible for $58 million in lost earnings.

Paul, who represents the likes of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Trae Young, Draymond Green, and Ben Simmons, is alleged to have interfered with Noel’s preexisting relationship with Happy Walters, who had represented Noel after he was drafted into the NBA out of the University of Kentucky in 2013. The Complaint says that Paul, knowing that Noel was represented by Walters in 2017, told Noel that he “was a 100 million man” and that Paul could get Noel a max deal if he terminated his relationship with Walters.

This all allegedly went down at Simmons’ birthday party in Los Angeles, where Paul was sitting next to Noel during the dinner portion of the event. Following the party, Noel parted ways with Walters and signed a Standard Player Agent Contract (SPAC) with Paul. Noel also purportedly took Paul’s advice and ended prior ongoing negotiations with the Dallas Mavericks that would have paid him $70 million over 4-years, in favor of accepting a single-year, $4.1 million qualifying offer with the intention of later seeking a max deal on the free agent market. Paul earned a 4% commission on the qualifying offer.

The situation became sour when Noel tore a ligament in his thumb, had surgery to repair the injury, and was forced to miss 42 games that season. According to the Complaint, Paul began to lose interest in Noel as a client.

“During the free agent season which began on July 1, 2018, and after Noel’s one-year contract with Dallas expired, neither Paul nor anyone at Klutch Sports presented any real proposals to Noel in terms of strategies or ideas on how Noel might secure a long-term contract or even a significant contract for the following season,” states the Complaint. “Indeed, as the 2018 NBA free agent season began, no real offers or deals were presented to Noel on the first day of free agency.”

Noel says that Paul had nothing to do with Noel then signing with the Oklahoma City Thunder and that, instead, Russell Westbrook and Paul George recruited him to join them for that franchise. Noel signed a 2-year, $3.75 million league-minimum deal with the team, and Paul was paid a 2% commission.

Paul is criticized for failing to make an effort to try to secure contracts or deals on Noel’s behalf during the 2018-19 NBA season he spent with the Thunder and thereafter. Noel declined a player option on the second year of his deal with the Thunder and instead hit the free agent market. He received no offers from any other teams and was forced to sign another one-year league minimum contract with the Thunder.

Noel allegedly learned from Brett Brown, who was coaching the Philadelphia 76ers at the time, that the 76ers front office had been trying to contact Paul to discuss a potential deal and that Paul refused to respond. This was purportedly the case with other team representatives who were reaching out as well.

Eventually, Noel says that he contemplated terminating his representation relationship with Klutch Sports; however, he was persuaded by Lucas Newton of the company that they were working on a 3-year deal with the Thunder that should compensate Noel to the tune of $7 million to $10 million annually. Thus, Noel decided to stay in place with his agency of record.

Then, free agency hit and the first day was quiet. Noel says that he later learned that representatives from the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers wanted to discuss opportunities with Paul, but that they could not make contact. Leon Rose (who was formerly an agent at Creative Artists Agency but then the President of the New York Knicks) reached out about a deal and Noel ultimately signed a 1-year contract for $5 million.

Noel finally terminated his relationship with Paul and Klutch Sports in December 2020 and says that the final straw was Noel learning that Paul “had a history of mismanaging and ignoring other clients and costing them significant money.” He believed that Paul and Klutch Sports were only focused on serving their marquee clients, and did not have the capacity to serve Noel as well as players such as Norris Cole or Shabazz Mohammad. After Noel’s first season with the Knicks, he signed a 3-year deal for roughly $32 million and was represented by basketball agent George Langberg on that contract.

Noel wants to be made whole for losing what he says is $58 million in lost earnings after being led to leave Walters and pass up an offer from the Mavericks for $70 million over 4 years. He says that Paul breached his fiduciary duty by inducing Noel to terminate his representation agreement with Walters and then by failing to do any meaningful work on Noel’s behalf in terms of securing contracts, new endorsement deals, or by offering strategies to Noel on how to maximize his value and earnings.

[Announcement] 2021 Rules Revision

We have some rule changes to announce that will be put into effect soon. Some of these rules are just to clarify already existing standards, the current rules that will be revised can be found at reddit.com/r/nba/wiki/rules

Rule Header Rule Text
3f. Highlight Quality Enforcement Highlights should show as much of the play as possible, and not abruptly cut off at the end. At moderator discretion, if a better version of the highlight is posted shortly after the original (this includes overall quality, duration, replays, etc.), the original highlight may be removed in favor of the higher quality one. This will be enforced more strictly during the playoffs than during the regular season.
4f. Recent Highlights Highlights must be from the past 48 hours. This rule will only be in effect for during the season. Fan made mixes/highlight compilations should go in the stickied daily thread.
3e. Trending Topics/Posts When one post gets really popular, there will often be threads made similar to that one. For example, when there is an existing post with an article/interview/video/etc. and then additional content from the same source is used to make new posts. These posts will be removed if posted too frequently as they end up cluttering both the front page and the new queue. Please try to keep these within the originally created thread. If you are wanting to cite multiple parts of a source, consolidate it into a single thread.
2d. Witch-hunt Threads Witch-hunt threads/comments are classified as tagging a user to troll, bait, or call them out. If you have a problem with the mods or certain users, please leave it to private messages and modmails. In order to prevent witch-hunting, crossposting old threads as a means of calling out users is not allowed. This includes linking to threads in order to point out bad takes, whether calling out one user specifically or the general mindset at the time of the post. These threads only serve to target those with perceived bad takes and they will be removed.
17d. NBA History (Discussion, old highlights, etc.) Posts discussing NBA history are allowed as self-posts. These should primarily be discussion-centric posts and not just a means of posting old game footage. Throwback posts and “on this day” posts are not allowed. Any direct video submissions (streamable, YouTube) that are of a game not having occurred within the last 48 hours will be removed. These are allowed during the offseason.
18d. Irrelevant content What is or is not considered relevant is up to the discretion of the moderators. This includes posts about video games, 2K, fantasy, and other unrelated news. Quotes from individuals not involved with the NBA will largely be removed. These include celebrities, politicians, former players (those who are no longer involved with the NBA and are largely trying to stir up drama). Various editorials regarding politics and/or NBA matters that are authored by individuals not related to the NBA will be removed. Posts about individuals involved on the executive-side of the NBA will be removed unless the topic is directly relevant to the NBA.
19d. NBA prospects Posts about prospects are allowed as a self-post with a discussion. These posts should be more than just asking a basic question about the prospect. Highlights of NBA prospects are not allowed during the season and are allowed during the offseason.
6c. Repetitive Posts There are a number of repetitive posts such as user-opinion top (5/10/25/etc.) rankings, homework help, “which team should I root for”, etc. These should be commented in the stickied daily thread and will be removed as a post.
7c. Filler Text Any post submitted as a self-post should have at least 100 characters. If you have a simple question to ask, ask it in the stickied daily thread. Attempting to circumvent this requirement through the use of filler text will result in a temporary ban.
8c. Account Age Accounts need to be 3 days old to comment and 30 days old to post. This can be automatically reduced with positive subreddit participation.
9c. Default Language This is a subreddit to discuss the NBA, and as such, unless particularly notable, posts/highlights/etc. should be in English. An example of an allowed non-English highlight would be an enthusiastic non-English commentator during a prominent highlight. If you are simply posting a non-English play in order to be the first to post the specific highlight, it will be removed.
5b. Comment Full Edits Editing a popular comment or post in order to troll/advertise/make a joke/etc. can result in a ban. Additionally, if you have a highly downvoted comment and you edit the comment to troll, you face a ban.
