1972-73 Boston Celtics. (68-14)They lost to the Knicks in the ECF. 2018 Rockets comes close, but the Celtics were healthy and couldn’t win

Make the Conference Finals

2015-16 San Antonio Spurs(67-15) They had the best season record that was not also league-best record. A dominant team in a crazy year

2006-07 Dallas Mavericks. Often considered one of the greatest chokes in NBA history, the Mavericks had an MVP Dirk Nowitzki, an All-StarJosh Howard, and a 67-15 record. They lost in 6 to a Warriors team with no stars
