Kicker Todd Carter made his NFL debut in 2010...After his first kickoff, he suffered an injury and left the game...He never played professional football ever again.

Todd Carter played Division II college football for Grand Valley State University. After he graduated in 2009, he wasn't drafted by any NFL team, and wasn't invited to any tryouts, so he got a job at Tropical Smoothie Cafe.

A year later, he was offered a tryout with the Carolina Panthers, and was signed as a Kickoff Specialist, to relieve the workload of their main kicker, John Kasay.

In the first game of the 2010 season, Carter made his NFL debut by taking the first kickoff for Carolina. It went to the opponent's 10 yard line, and was returned for 22 yards.

Unfortunately for Carter, he suffered back spasms from that kick, and was forced to leave the game. The very next day, the Panthers cut him from the roster.

He tried out for the Rams and Chiefs in 2011, but wasn't signed to either of their rosters. Afterwards, he retired from the NFL, having only played 1 game, where he did 1 kickoff for 60 yards.
