Rodman is an all-time great rebounder and defender, but was never known for his scoring, averaging seven points for his career.
However, in his sophomore season, in February of 1988, Rodman randomly went on an absolute tear after getting a spot in the starting lineup thanks to an injury to Adrian Dantley. The Pistons, who at that point had never made a finals appearance in Detroit, would win 21 of those 27 games. After that season, Rodman would never average double figures again
