The Ben Simmons Saga is the real-world equivalent of filler episodes.

This is basically Gohan goes to high-school, except that was 1000x more entertaining than the non-stop "coverage" of a situation that actually hasn't changed

edit: fwiw I actually did love Gohan goes to high school, it was just the first example I thought of. I am not loving "Ben goes to Training Camp"
