As a casual NBA fan, it's actually great seeing the 'jump into the defender whilst shooting a 3' rule essentially scrapped

It's great to see, even though I'm a rockets fan, it was cringe seeing Harden do it, or Chris Paul taking the ball up the court and slowing down to force the defender into him.

I noticed Steph do it in the pre-season, when it doesn't get called, makes the player look ridiculous

It has a huge affect on the average sports fan or someone trying to get into the NBA, less FTs are fun for basketball as a whole.
