The weeks keep getting weirder and weirder, /r/NFL! Couple weeks ago we went from "oh, this is interesting" to "what the hell is going on?!" I have no clue as to who's going to win what this week, so I'm just gonna do a combination of throwing darts at a board with teams on them, flipping coins, and picking teams with the better color combos for that week. Maybe that will get me more wins! Seriously though, I will try to put some logic into my picks, but it won't be easy. This week we have two more teams on byes, with four divisional matchups waiting for us. My picks last week were terrible, getting me 4-10 and bringing me to 96-54 on the season. Post your results and your picks for this week. Let's get to it!

Patriots |

Falcons |
New England is showing increased consistency, with Jones becoming more confident in the pocket and the defense taking care of business. Atlanta is 1-3 at home and just took a whooping in Dallas, putting to rest the idea of a surge coming. Ryan is hard to predict in what kind of game he's going to have, so I'm going to take the safe pick with the Patriots getting their 5th straight win. |
Bills |
over |
Colts |
The Colts just play better with a healthy Wentz and a running game led by Taylor. However, the Bills have an amazing defense that can contain both. Allen will find plenty to exploit in the Colts' pass D. |
Ravens |
over |
Bears |
Chicago is coming off a bye, and while Fields continues to improve, it won't be enough to stop Baltimore. Jackson surely will use his arm and legs to make some amazing plays and it will be too much for the Bears to handle. |
Browns |
over |
Lions |
Detroit threw everything at the Steelers and came away with a tie. While this is progress, it won't be enough against Baker if he plays, or Keenum if he doesn't. Chubb should be back this week, bringing some power back to Cleveland's run game. |
Titans |
over |
Texans |
Possible upset, but I'm gonna stick with the Titans this week. They showed that injuries don't matter if you have good coaching and second/third strings that can perform well. And a little help from the refs doesn't hurt (I'm looking at you, Boger). Division games are hard to call, so I could be wrong on this one and Tennessee may be in trouble this week. |
Packers |
over |
Vikings |
The Vikings are still very hard to predict. The offense will be key this week for both teams. Minnesota shows inconsistency in this area, while Green Bay is also struggling with making plays. The Vikings can exploit the Packers' susceptible run D, but it's Rodgers we're talking about here. This will be a close one. |
Dolphins |
over |
Jets |
The Jets have given up 43.8 PPG in their last four games, and White is coming off a four-INT performance last week. Miami is still mathematically in this, but they need to show they can dismiss the Jets this week. Still, division games can be unpredictable, so we'll see. |
Saints |
over |
Eagles |
NOLA is staying in every game, with their last two losses being decided by 3 pts or less. If they can fix the kicking problem and if their receivers can hold on to the ball, they win those two matchups. Their top-five defense is dominating every week, so if the offense can stop sputtering then they should win this road game. |
Panthers |
over |
Washington |
I honestly have no idea how this game will go. Cam's back in Carolina, and he dominated last week, so I'm going off the momentum of that mostly. However, a hobbled Washington team just took down the Bucs off their bye, so we have that. Should be a good matchup, but I'm playing it safe with Cam this week. |
49ers |
over |
Jaguars |
49ers traveling cross-country on a short week should give the Jags an edge, but it won't. Shanahan is going to run the ball a lot like he did on MNF, chewing up the clock and bulldozing their way to a win. |
Bengals |
over |
Raiders |
Neither team is in a good place right now. The Bengals are slight road favorites against the Raiders, coming off their bye week. If Burrow can avoid the big turnover and connect with Chase, then the Bengals will get out with a road win. Hard to call, though. |
Chiefs |
over |
Cowboys |
Possible upset maybe? We have two good offenses against two less-than-stellar defenses. Dak and Mahomes will put on a show, but we're taking the home team in the mid-November cold at a pretty loud stadium on this one. |
Cardinals |
over |
Seahawks |
This game should look quite different for both teams than their last one. The Cardinals should have Murray back, and Wilson should look better than he did against the Packers. With both QBs likely to be less than 100%, this game is hard to call. The edge is slightly with the Cardinals, but winning in Seattle is going to be tough. |
Chargers |
over |
Steelers |
Assuming Big Ben will be back for this one it should be a better game they what they put up last week in their tie with Detroit. If Watt and Hayden are out, this could be a long night for Pittsburgh. Look for Herbert to exploit that and come away with a home win. |
Buccaneers |
over |
Giants |
The Bucs have lost two straight games and are confusing to watch. Tampa beat New York in an ugly primetime win last year, and I think we'll see a repeat of that performance. The Buccaneers have a get-right game at home where they are currently undefeated. |
Byes: Broncos, Rams
Those are my predictions, let's hear yours. Keep it civil and fun. Good luck!
