Nikola Jokic is having an even better season this year than last year and deserves serious consideration as the best player in the NBA

He's having an even BETTER season than last year somehow.

Basically every impact metric has him as the best player in the league this season, and he was #1 in most of these last season as well.

For the non advanced stat lovers, he's averaging 25.1ppg/14.1rpg/6.1apg on 66.3% TS

His points, rebounds, steals, and blocks per 100 possessions are all UP from last season. His TS% is up as well. And he's leading the Nuggets to the 3rd seed without Jamal Murray or MPJ. I don't hear many people call him the best player in the world, it's always the usual suspects of Lebron/KD/Steph with some Giannis talk sprinkled in. I think Jokic should be in that convo for sure.
