3. Hire anyone else.

Feel like it's happened at least a dozen times over the years. A couple times with Knick teams. The absolute wave of relief you get when you see your team hired literally anyone else is euphoric. It's like watching an 8 year old walk across a highway unscathed.

Is it artificial though? Is Mark Jackson getting paid for this somehow? The amount of goodwill a team generates when they DON'T hire him is massive.
