who has fumbled the bag as badly as Dennis Schroeder?

I know it’s old news at this point, but i was randomly reminded of the Dennis Schroeder contract saga (to recap: gets offered 4/84 by lakers, rejects it because he wants something like 5/100, ends up signing an MLE with boston, traded to houston, basically disappears). How many times has something like this happened in the past? i feel like the usual story is a player showing out in a contract year and getting way overpaid.
