Looks like the Pacers dodged a bullet with Ayton

Too early to draw conclusions but it is worth a look:

In the offseason there were reports of an attempted sign and trade by the Pacers in which Myles Turner and other assets would have gone to the Suns in exchange for Ayton. Eventually Deandre Ayton signed a maximum offer sheet with the Pacers that was worth four years, $133 million. The Phoenix Suns match it almost immediately.

Myles Turner is averaging 18.6/8.4/1.4, 2.8 bpg and 0.8 spg on 55/45/84 splits and 29 minutes per game.

Deandre Ayton is averaging 14.6/8.5/2.2, 0.6 bpg and 0.6 spg on 58/27/66 splits and 28.5 minutes per game.
