Westbrook's low EFG% actually gives role players more confidence to score at will. They know they need to score, or Westbrook may have to shoot a bad shot.

There's a difference in mentality of role players playing with Westbrook and guys like LeBron.

LeBron is already the most efficient scorer. So there could be much more pressure on the role players to score as efficient as LeBron. Otherwise LeBron should just score himself. Obviously this isn't issue for high TS% spot up shooters usually like Kyle Korver. Also no issue with healthy AD, especially in the bubble.

But we can see the big difference when Westbrook runs the offense. Those role players be chucking up shots with confidence because they know/believe it's the best shot vs Westbrook chucking up a shot. This happened in Washington with those role players playing huge like Len Lopez and Gafford.

Thomas Bryant and Gabriel know to just score the ball if Westbrook feeds them. It's the best shot and no alternatives. They know they don't want Westbrook chucking something up. We see it with Troy Brown and Christie too from 3. They know their shot is the best if Westbrook passed them the ball. They are 100% confident. They know if they don't shoot then Westbrook would have to chuck another bad shot.

It might seem laughable, but it's the truth. Role players play with more confidence to score with Westbrook. There's way less pressure.

With LeBron, there's pressure to score as efficient as The King.
