[Mills] A lawsuit against UVM came out in Dec. with new details of rape allegations against Anthony Lamb. The Warriors said they did their due diligence & would not take any action. However, the alleged victim tells the examiner the team never reached out.

The lawsuit includes disturbing alleged details about the rape. Ware says she considered suicide after, told teammates & the school what allegedly happened, but says she was persuaded by school officials not to pursue formal proceedings against Lamb.

Ware says in the suit she was convinced to go through an informal resolution process, was misled to believe that process could result in a suspension for Lamb. Ware alleges she was told by a school leader pursuing a formal punishment would be "unfair" to Lamb's teammates. Ware spoke to the Daily Messenger back in 2020 about the alleged rape & the way she says the school mishandled the investigation. Ware didn't name the accused rapist at the time b/c she said she didn't want to make it about him
