The incessant media support for the Warriors today perfectly illustrates how much control they, and their award winning PR team, have over the narrative

I know people are sick of hearing about this but it's worth noting just how much influence this franchise has over the media and, as a result, fan perception.

For days members of the media have made impassioned arguments for why the Warriors are the victims of an unfair league.

Chris Mannix just wrote an article, for SI, placing the blame squarely on Sabonis, and suggesting that Draymond shouldn't have even been kicked out of the game.

Hell, we had JJ Redick claim the refs have been unfair to the Warriors.

Dude actually said “other than that 2016 incident I can’t think of another dirty Draymond play. What history is the league talking about? ONE incident?”

So this guy, who supposedly always does his research, couldn’t unearth Steven Adams getting kicked in the nuts in two consecutive games?

Or Lebron having his eyes clawed?

Or Harden having his eyes clawed?

Or Jokic having his eyes clawed?

And, of course, neither Stephen A. nor any of the other panel members contradicted him in the slightest. On this one topic, there was no debate between personalities. Everyone on the panel agreed Draymond was treated unfairly.

Look at the influence this team has on the media, then look at the influence the media has on the fans.

Look at the 180 this sub has done since JJ told them that Dray shouldn’t have been suspended and the refs were unfair to the Warriors.

What I can’t figure out is WHY the league is supposedly instructing its refs to bounce one of the most popular and profitable teams in the first round.

Why the league would prefer a Kings-Lakers match up instead of another legendary Lebron-Steph showdown?

What’s more likely, the league rigging things for THE KINGS or…the media being fed a narrative by one of the best PR teams of all time?
