Note that the rumors of Herro for Donovan Mitchell last year did not spark such a reaction from Herro. It would seem that Herro has been made aware he will no longer be a member of the Miami Heat. Whether that be a third team that receives him or a direct trade to Portland is still unknown.
Nonetheless, regardless of how the trade unfolds, Damian Lillard to the Miami Heat seems like a done deal behind the scenes. This goes with what DroppingDimes20 has been saying for a while. That the deals are in place, and semantics are being figured out. Ultimately, the Heat do not have many assets to lose (other than maybe losing a Caleb Martin). Heat will definitely get stronger from this. Probably will be the favorites in the East now over Boston. Meanwhile Bucks and Sixers stay stagnant.
