Joel Embiid was a bigger reason for the Sixers playoff collapse than Harden was, yet Harden is the one who gets all the blame

Stats during the Celtics series

Harden: 22ppg/7rpg/8apg on 57% TS

Embiid: 26ppg/9rpg/2apg on on 55% TS

Clearly Harden played closer to his regular season average (21/6/11 on 61% TS) than Embiid did (33/10/4 on 66% TS).

But this doesn't even take into account that Harden solo-won two games, including going into Boston, dropping 45pts and stealing a game in which Embiid didn't play.

Also, in the deciding game 7, both played equally bad. Harden had 9pts/6reb/7ast on 38% TS, Embiid had 15pts/8reb/1ast on 36% TS. Once again Harden was clearly much closer to his average than Embiid was.

It was Embiid who clearly underperformed worse than Harden, yet Harden is the one who gets the majority of the blame. Could be another reason why he wants out so badly.
