Is Monty Williams 6/78m dollar contract the biggest raking of an NBA front office ever?
There were reports where Monty wasn't even considering the Pistons until he saw how much they were willing to pay him. During the opening press conference he evenly openly admitted to the money being a primary reason for taking the job. As a reward to their efforts, Williams responded with an almost record breaking losing streak(to be decided soon) and there seems to be no end in sight with Detroit's misery.
They still have to pay him and a new coach if they fire him. The Detroit Pistons are a complete dumpster fire of an organization and I don't know if that changes unless Gores sells the team as seen by the last 15 years imo.
[9News Denver] Russell Wilson has now been sacked an even 100 times in 30 games over two years with Broncos. No NFL QB has been sacked more in that span.

LET'S TALK: r/NBA Community Funds Fundraiser for The Boys & Girls Club of America!
Thank you for all the wonderful donations! You all have helped The Boys and Girls Club of America raise funds for supporting educational programs and extracurricular activities for underprivileged children across America.
As many of you know, our ambitious target is to reach **$100,000 USD, with Reddit generously matching up to $25,000 USD. This means that if we, as a community, manage to raise $25,000 USD, the effective total will be $50,000 USD through the Community Funds program.
We'd love to continue this positive momentum and extend our support to those in need. Therefore, we're inviting you all to share suggestions on how to incentive further fundraising efforts. Your input is valuable, as much the feedback we've received so far has already been put into action. Feel free to openly contribute here or use mod mail if you prefer to remain anonymous.
Once again, thank you for the incredible support. Stay tuned for more details on our NBA All-Star Saturday Night ticket contest and community meetup!

[OC] 22% of NFL quarterbacks have likely had season-ending injuries this year. This chart shows the cumulative contract earnings for games missed by these players.
Aaron Rodgers (probably), Anthony Richardson, Deshaun Watson, Daniel Jones, Kirk Cousins, Joe Burrow, and Justin Herbert (probably), all likely have had season-ending injuries. These seven quarterbacks have a combined AAV (annual average value) of $274.5M, an average of $39M each ($2.3M per game).
This chart shows the week-by-week accumulation of contract value earned by these quarterbacks for games missed due to injury. (Some players earn different amounts each year, but for this chart I'm using their annual average value across all years of their contract). The cumulative earnings for these seven quarterbacks for games missed in the 2023 season is likely to end at $151M. The chart below illustrates the week-by-week growth of earnings for games missed, increasing throughout the season as more QBs get injured and the missed games add up.
Note: obviously other quarterbacks have been injured as well, but the focus for this chart is only those who have had season-ending injuries.

(On draymond saying he was "swinging away to sell a call) -
The “actually I was trying to flop” and “you know I’m still not sorry for putting Gobert in a sleeper” is quite the “I don’t deserve a suspension” tactic
He brings up a good point here. By saying that he doesn't apologies for things he means to do, he is still not showing any regret at what happened during the Gobert incident. And now, saying, "Oh, it was an accident. If I hit you on purpose, I wouldn't apologise" is both a bad look for draymond and the org.
